On the job training as a nurse
If you are not yet trained as a nurse, there’s a way to get your training in Germany and become a nurse. Usually the training takes three years and you will get insights in different stations. Some benefits are:
- less requirements on language level and previous work experience
- salary during the training
Registered nurse with work experience
If you are already a trained nurse, then you can apply as a nurse for a job in Germany. However, depening on your origin, there is usually a 6 months training necessary to recognise your degree in Germany. Benefits are:
- directly start working as a nurse
Visa for family members
If one of your family member is already in Germany, there is a way to bring family members also to Germany.

Documents
The following documents are required and need to be prepared to apply for a job in Germany:
- needs to be in English
- needs to be issued with the specific purpose on what to do
- needs to be in German and stating your current career and education steps
- describe your motivation why you want to come to Germany
- needs to be issued by your highschool
- needs to certify, that there are “no criminal records”
- needs to certify that your body is in good shape to perform the desired job
